Question How to disable dropping audio volume when the navigation voice comes on?

Hello everyone,

I have 2016 MKC Reserve. When I use navigation and music from any source, every time music volume drops down when the navigation voice comes on. I know this is how it's supposed to work. But I want to disable this feature. I hear voice prompts fine and don't want my music drop volume.

I also have Apple Play. In Apple maps you have the option to disable this behavior. It works perfectly on the phone. But when my phone is connected to Sync and Apple maps runs as Apple Carplay, that settings are ignored by car. I assume that this volume drop is forced by Sync.

So If somebody knows how to turn off this "safety" feature, please help me!

I don't know how to disable the feature (I doubt it is possible for legal reasons), but I will often turn off the audio prompts on the regular Navigation map screen (not sure about Carplay - don't like it so don't use it much!). It is a button that appears on the map touchscreen when you have entered a destination. Even if I know where I am going, I use the regular navigation without the prompts to route me so I get the traffic (and possible rerouting) on the roads ahead thru Sirius.

I know how to turn off the audio prompts. I like them and want to have prompts, but don't want music volume drop.

If there is any solution/hack including Forscan, I would really appreciate the help.
