Portable Jump Starters

The MKC, like other modern loaded vehicles, uses a lot of battery power. I have a Stanley Lithium Ion jump starter, about the size of a paperback book if you remember those, that I keep in the glove box. I don't think they even make these anymore but it is a good product and has even jumped my F250 with a 460 engine. I saw another product that I thought was interesting, a batteryless high capacitor jump starter. There are several brands with a wide range of pricing. Schumaker makes one and Rezervo has a compact one that is less expensive. Reviews on the Rezervo RZ-300 seem pretty good. When leaving the MKC parked outside at the airport for 2 weeks it is good insurance to have one, especially in the winter. What are other MKC owners using?

I have a Motomaster Eliminator Lithium Ion booster pack and power bank purchased from Canadian Tire. In over two years I have not needed to use it on the MKC but have used it to start two other vehicles. Energizer and NOCO units are also available.

Probably a good idea to disable the automatic seat adjustment and mirror folding options if leaving the car parked for a while - especially in cold weather. They suck up a lot of battery when you first turn the car on.
