I found this forum searching for answers to some of my questions regarding my MKC ownership. (2015 Lincoln MKC - Reserve w/20" wheels and all the options). The vehicle has been fun to drive and I do like the available options, especially the ones that I was lacking in my 2013 RDX.
I would like to learn if anyone on the forum has been able to find an ECU upgrade or chip to match the performance of the same 2.3L Ecoboost engine in the new Mustang. I would like to see a little better performance and possibly better gas mileage.
Some may have searched for hot chips, but honestly I would be surprised if they are out there.
Newish model, with fairly 'exclusive' sales volumes- hard to entice programmers unless they $ee a market.
Had the same issue with my Lincoln LS Sport 5 sp.
It will be tough to get to Mustang numbers, at least at the drive wheels- different layout of exhaust and drivetrain.
Plus, they may get more power than stock, but it will definitely be at the expense of gas mileage.
MKZ does not have the 2.3L engine. Only other Ford vehicle with the 2.3 is the 2015 Mustang and the tunes aren't compatible.
According to the Ford Magazine that just arrived in my mailbox yesterday, the Ford Focus RS will also have the 2.3 L Ecoboost engine but in a 315 HP configuration. This appears to be a limited production vehicle.
