Angry No Key Detected! Irritiated new MKC

My new MKC has been in the shop for 2 consecutive weeks. I am having trouble starting the MKC after it sits while I am out. I keep getting " No key detected" it is very irritating that I have to sit in my car until it is ready to start. Of course, it only happens to me, not while at the dealership. several times it happened while I am trying to leave work and very embarrassing to have to say that my new car is leaving me stuck.

I saw your post in the general thread addressing MKC problems. Just make sure that you receive a service order every time you take your car in for the problem making sure that it documents how long it was in the shop and document every time the problem occurs and how long you have to wait for it to decide to start......just in case.

Open a case with Lincoln on it, could be others that have done it and the more that report chances are the more action they might take on it.

how do you open a case? never heard of that. I received a call today and they finally stated that the problem happened to them, so they are ordering a computer part for the car.

still don't have my new MKC dealership trying to figure out why it wont start( no key detected) when the interior temperature reaches >95 degrees. it has been in shop twice and this time for 2 weeks. a new part was placed last week and it still keeps happening. I'm bummed
