Smile Just purchased 2017 MKC Reserve in White Platinum

Hi,

New Lincoln owner, I traded in my 2007 Acura RDX for a Reserve 2.0 FWD off the lot with the technology package, climate package, Lincoln Drive Control, 19 inch wheels and a few other things like floor mats.

The MSRP was $45,600 USD and I was able to get it down to $39,500, I think this was a pretty good deal. I also took advantage of their 0% financing offer which was quite nice.

So far I really love this car!!! The ride is so smooth and the cabin so quite. It may be cheesey but I love the whole lighted welcome mat when you approach the vehicle. It has so much technology compared to my 10 year old Acura, I am still trying to get used to it. The only issue is a bit of dash rattle over bumps on the driver side, I am taking it in to have it fixed.

I just traded my 2014 MKX on a 2017 Black on Black MKC, fully loaded. Price tag was more like 48K and I leased it. My MKZ lease was 39 months at $571/month. My notes are now $559 for a 3 year newer vehicle and no money down. As a woman, I always feel like I come out on the short end of the stick whether I purchase or I lease. I usually keep my cars for 3 years. As part of my trade, they bought me out of my lease and paid the last 5 remaining months of my lease. So, not sure if I got a good deal or not, but I do like my new MKC. It is higher off the ground vs the MKX and that helps when it floods in Houston!

Trading in a car to either buy or lease every 3 years pretty much guarantees you are not getting a good deal on either end of the deal.

Rule of thumb for leasing is any lease payment under 1% of the MSRP is a good lease, with your MSRP that would be $480 or less per month. That is based on no money down (and I mean nothing including taxes or any dealer fees). Also, it is rarely a good move to turn in your lease early like you did. Yes, they paid the last 5 remaining payments but I would bet they rolled that into your new lease and payment (Lincoln will at times have incentive that covers 1 month, but not 5 months).

I have MKC Reserve (Black on Black) with $45K MSRP, I'm paying $409/mo. I put no money down, they also tinted my front driver/passenger windows. It's not being a woman that counts against you, anyone who goes in without doing their homework may come out on the short end of any deal. There are sites that are very useful in getting knowledge and information on how to lease smart. BTW, even with this information I still don't think I'm getting the best deal, just they way it seems to be when dealing with a dealer. Enjoy your new ride.
