Replacing the Car Battery

For those DIY’s out there...think again when you need to replace your car battery on an MKC...yesterday I attempted to replace my 2015 MKC battery (it has been leaking and causing corrosion for some time - NOT Happy about that)...anyway order a Motorcraft battery from my local dealer thinking I could easily replace it in an hour or so....nope....the battery is in the back of the engine compartment and you need to take the cowl off or remove many parts of the engine area...NOT an easy gone are the days of the had to install and reprogram....$$

Really, sounds like you watched the wrong youtube video. Remove the air box, the battery cover a couple of intake tubes and the front of the battery box lifts out. You should be done in about 60 or 70 minutes, if you have never done it before. If you took the cowl apart you did it the long way. See my post from last month. Google is your friend.
