2016 MKC leather not holding its shape

As an empty-nester, I thought it was time for a new car, and I love much about my MKC. Mine is a 2016 one year old with 14,000 miles. I'm 5'3" and under 120 pounds, and I ride in my car mostly alone. But the leather of the driver's seat and front seat passenger is sagging, as in the leather has not remained taut, but actually shows where I've been sitting. Has anyone else had this issue?

Not yet. Have you been treating your seats with a leather cleaner and conditioner regularly? That can make a difference, so can exposure to sun light, UA radiation and all that. Are these the Bridge of Weir leather seats? With heating and cooling too?

I have a MKC Reserve with the heated and cooled seats which I treat several times a year - Seats still look like new after a year and a half.

Overtreating leather can allow it to stretch believe it or not. What are you treating the seats with? Many petroleum based treatments can have this side effect. I have been VERY impresed with the quality of the leather. Very similar to my Jaguar's and that is a high praise!

Just a bit of Lexol cleaner (or only a damp rag) two or three times a year to remove any dirt and the conditioner to protect it. I too am impressed with the leather and the overall seat comfort.

BINGO. Hard to beat good old Lexol! Only thing above that product is Rejuvenator oil which is what the top shelf detailers use to restore seats on million dollar old exotics.
