MKC Compared Visually: Interiors

So to expand on the visual exterior comparison, I thought we could have a look at the interior of the MKC vs the X3, Q5, GLK and RDX.

MKC

X3

Q5

GLK

RDX

And I will add that I had the chance to experience the MKC at my local show just last week, and the MKC's interior is absolutely hammered together with precision. All touch points were pleasant, really a top quality interior. Only the GLK gives it a run for my money...

I love the simplicity of the Audi steering wheel. But the design on the seats and door panels of the Mercedes is just killer.

For me the winner here is the BMW X3. It could be because it is using materials that I like more than the other pictures. The dark brown leather and the brown wood look really classy to me. The rest of the interiors here have lighter colored materials used which I personally don't like as much. Second place for me would be the MKC though. I respect the simplicity of the MKZ's center controls set-up.

fair enough, it's all personal preference. only thing I like on the BMW is the tone of it's leather, that specific tone of brown

the mkc holds up well visualy but im sure the german brands will beat the mkc in the feel and quality department.

the acura lacks in both areas. only good thing to say about the acura is that the buttons are neat... lol

The German brands make nice interiors but they are exactly the same in basically all their cars. I like that Lincoln shows that they are experimenting and trying new things.

Have you guys seen the new Volvo interior? They are doing some really cool things. Basically following in the footsteps of Tesla with a big tablet screen.

I think that looks amazing. Tesla is off to the right start and I wouldn't be surprised if more brands try to copy them.
