McConaughey featured in Lincoln's newest commercials

Matthew McConaughey is a Hollywood star. You may have seen him most recently in True Detective, or in the Dallas buyer's Club where he won an Oscar. Now he is making some extra cash by selling Lincolns as you can see in these two commercials that were recently released online.

I guess they make more sense if you watch True Detective as he is in character. I don't like them but I prefer it over the the Shaq Buick endorsements...his knees hit the steering wheel, are we not suppose to notice that!

That's funny. I never had seen this commercial before. Shaw just seems like a terrible person to sell a car. Unless its something huge like an Escalade, he just makes the car look small because he is over 7 ft.

Do you really think he is in character though? I don't think so.

I love that Shaq commercial, and the Jimmy Kimmel mean tweets where it is mentioned: "Shaq, you in that Buick commercial. You know you don't fit in that Buick."

I mean seriously did Buick think people weren't going to notice that he consumes the entire volume of the car. Unless he's chauffeuring around Lt. Dan nobody can fit in the back.

In general, all Buick commercials make me cringe. I just get the feeling nobody that made them has any idea how to relate to the demographic they're targeting.

So comedians are making spoofs of the Lincoln MKC ads. Here are some that I found.

One done with Ellen and another with Conan.

Both are pretty funny in my opinion.

I think the point of the Shaq ad was to show, Look we can fit shaq in here, oh you think YOU have size problems. Oh no you don't, all 7 feet fit, we didnt even need the scissors!

It was also done to be silly though. Sure he fits in there, but barely. The take away message is still the same I guess.

I guess I was wrong, he's not playing a character, he just talks like that.
