New Lincoln Owners

After searching for over one year my wife has finally settled on the Lincoln MKC as her daily driver. We test drove nearly everything in the class: Escape, CRV, Rav4, Forester, Tiguan, CX-5, RDX, Q5, X3, XC60. She found something she didn't like in all of them until she got in the MKC. She's going from a 2003 Escape that is almost on its last legs after 11 trouble free years, so this will be quite an upgrade for her.

We put the order in yesterday with X-plan. Ruby Red, ebony interior, AWD, 2.3 engine, reserve trim, tech package, climate package, 19" wheels, and decided to splurge and get the THX audio. While the dealer didn't have a MXC with THX on the lot we went back and forth in an MKZ and listened to THX sound and the regular audio in the MKC and it was a noticeable difference, even at low volume.

MSRP was: 49,265
X-Plan price was: 45,939
Minus 1,000 owner loyalty - 750 additional X-plan incentive - 745 negotiated discount

Brought it all down to around 43,500 + tax.

When we started this trek for a new car a year ago, I never thought I'd be buying a Lincoln, but this had everything we wanted and more. We're excited and it'll be a long 6-8 weeks waiting for delivery!

Congrats

Congrats on your purchase! I test drove the MKC on a whim and fell in love as well! I am excited to hear you were able to use other incentives along with x plan...I was wondering about that! You got a great deal Hoping I can use the A-Z plan to make my purchase in the the near future. My husbands step-dad retired from Lincoln.

From what I've heard about those plans you should definitely be able to use the Z-plan pricing, so that will be a nice discount for you. Make sure you go in knowing everything you can about the pricing / incentives. During my negotiation the salesperson conveniently didn't have any details about X-plan or the incentives, tried to tell me owner loyalty from Ford didn't apply to a Lincoln, and that the incentives wouldn't be able to be combined. I had to log in to the Ford site with his computer and show him how the MSRP compared to the Ford X-plan configurator along with the incentives listed. It all worked out though. Good luck!

Awesome guys! I'm a few months away but I'll be negotiating without any Z plan, X plan, or whatever plan. I'm hoping to get at least 2K off sticker plus any incentives (which I'll be eligible for the typical 1K competitor incentive that they always seem to have).

Luxocarnut, I'm in the same boat as you -- no special discount plans. I'm hoping for at least $1500 off. On my last Audi (special ordered), I was able to negotiate $1500 off the very first example that arrived at the dealership. I'm hoping for a similar experience at Lincoln.

kdawg, we too didn't think we would be buying a Lincoln. This will actually be our first American-brand car, period! I think the MKC makes a compelling case for itself -- probably the most competitive Lincoln product in years in my opinion.

Thrillceeker, had a similar experience with my Audi but the leases on Audi just seem terrible overall.

I wanted a stick shift bad and got my heart set on my Audi and my deal was pretty good relative to an Audi lease but overall not very good at all. Hoping the figures work out much better with the Lincoln.

I've also never owned an American car. The closest I came was my 1997 Saab 900S which was technically built mostly by GM at the time, then I had a VW Passat, two Acura TL's, and now the Audi.

I test drove the MKC just to get an initial feel for it and I really liked it. I only drove the 2.0 though and even that had good power.
