Phone App - Oil Life Remaining Message

When I signed onto the phone app today, there was a 'you have 1 new message' displayed on the home screen. I checked the messages and there was '0% Oil Life Alert' message sent on 09/30/2016 which is the last time I drove the car. I checked the Vehicle status screen and it shows oil life remaining as 84%......so why did I receive the 0% oil life alert? Has anyone else had this happen?

Yes....I just had the oil changed at the dealer. When I checked the app right after it said 50% remaining.

After the oil was changed did the dealer or you reset the oil life remaining indicator? If it says 50% then it sounds like it has not been reset. That is not quite the issue I have. The oil life remaining indicator on the dash display and on the phone app says 84% but for some reason the message was sent to the phone that it was 0%.

The dealer should do it but if they didn't, then you can do it.

I always check after an oil change just to make sure they reset it....it should be at 100% with fresh new oil AFTER they reset it. I'm actually due for one, might call them at 7am tomorrow, they are always pretty flexible.

Using the controls on the left side of the steering wheel, you can navigate to the Oil Life Remaining indicator and then you just hold the OK button to reset. I can't remember if it is under Vehicle or Display.

Just checked...it is found under Vehicle, Settings, Oil Life.

Oh ! I thought you meant to reset on app. The dealer usually resets vehicle.
