Any one know how to what position wiper blades need to be in for automatic use?

Any Intermittent setting, I always set near the center. If you do not use the wipers for like 4 days, you will need to move the setting up or down a click to reactivate auto. Do that at the time you are in need of the auto wipers again. If your windows are iced you will want to turn the auto wipers off untill the ice has cleared.

Greg here is the series of how to videos. The one about the wipers is in the right hand column at the very bottom. http://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conten...coln&model=MKC

Sorry that didn't address your question. When the wipers are in the neutral position, it is either the first click up or the first click down.
