I was reading a review on the new Cadillac ATS-V the other day and Car and Driver said "Donít expect to spend much less for an ATS-V than a comparable M3 or C63 AMG. Cadillac wants prices that better match the Germansí, even if this means selling fewer cars and an even smaller number of Vs in the near term. Itís part of a corporate strategy to raise Cadillacís prestige, including moving its headquarters to New York."
So basically that means they don't want to sell as many cars, so basically they want to be more prestigious so they'll just sell less cars. That also means they think they are so fantastic that they think people will justify their product over an established german marque. A little too balsy, coming from a company that we were paying to bail out a mere 5 years ago. Is the Lincoln lineup any better? **** no, but their corporate strategy sure is.
