Do you immediately shut the engine off and restart the car and the lamp does not come on or you drive it (lamp stays on), shut it off and restart with no lamp?
A previous poster within the above thread showed this scan -
This could also indicate the throttle body is carbon fouled and won't allow the TB to close completely or stick on occasion. It is a common problem on EFI, especially with GTDI as CCV/PCV fumes are ingested into the fuel intake at this point.
It may occasionally stick and free itself thereby canceling the warning lamp. It must not be a stored code as it comes and goes. There is a lot of difference(s) between a code reader and scan tool.
Ask then to check for this and needed THROTTLE BODY SERVICE if not a DIY.
I soon as I shut down it goes away never comes back only on start up then shut down right away gone. Thanks I think they tested the throttle body for carbon and full open and close
Are you having the car serviced at a dealer or independent shop?
