Welcome lights are going on and off by themselves throughout the day and night. I have had to call Lincoln roadside assistance 3 times for a jump start because it keeps draining my battery. It's been to the dealer 4 times and they cannot seem to fix it. They have updated the modules and replaced the battery but I got it back last night after being at dealer for a week just to have my car performing a light show for my neighbors again. MKC is back at dealer today and I am praying it gets resolved finally. I have wasted so much time and lost work because my battery keeps dying on me. Very frustrating!!!!!

I've only noticed it at home. My neighbors keep telling me it goes off all night long. I've seen it going on during the day too. I've even moved the key fobs away from the car but it's still happening. I've had the car since March but it's died on me every since September. The dealer doesn't know what to do at this point. 😞
Try turning off the welcome lighting on the information display. See page 112 and 115 of the owners manual. See if that helps.
A couple of things. This was a problem on quite a few of the 2015s. They will try and tell you that your keyfob is to close to the vehicle causing this. Nope... that is not really the problem. There is a TSB for this issue with the welcome lighting. The dealer should know this... if not they have not worked on any MKCs in the last year 
ps... I think the TSB (TSB 14-0190) calls for resetting (or with my 2015) replacing the BCM/Body Control Module. I seem to recall the original TSBs had them doing some code upgrade... that did not fix it. Then later, they came out with the reset BCM procedure.

Also note.. the TSB I reference relays the problem as non-functioning Welcome Lighting, but the deal where the car just lights up all by itself... is the same related issue. Mine was doing it the night I took delivery from the dealer... we all wondered what it was doing... figured it was because it was outside the window and we had the Key Fob at the salesmans desk right there.
Come to find out... the vehicle needs to be locked for the approach lighting to activate and has to have been locked for like a few minutes with no interaction with the Key Fob before it will setup to trigger on next Key Fob recognition. (My vehicle was unlocked, mirrors deployed/unfolded when it was doing it). Ehhh hindsight....

There could be 2 issues. First, make sure that you keep the remote FOBs more than 10 feet away from the car when the doors are locked...farther away the better. Secondly there is a known issue with the welcome lighting continually checking to see if the key FOB is in range. I had the same issue with my '15 MKC and had to have a couple of electronic modules replaced which solved the problem.
It doesn't matter how far away the key FOBS are from the car, it will be continually checking for them to be in range so that it knows when to turn on the lights. In my case, it was not actually turning on the lights....it was just constantly checking to see if the FOB was in range. The 2 modules they changed were located in the driver's side rear passenger door.
