Just picked up a Lincoln mkc 2016 and love it. I read about the direct injection engines being notorious for carbon build up on the valves. I purchased a oil catch can and had some questions.

On the intake pipe, can I block off both of those vacuum lines. I saw on YouTube the one closer to the filter can be blocked but they didn’t block off the other one, which connects to the intake pipe. Is there a reason for that?

I took off the manifold and connected the lines to the catch can. There is so much vacuum pressure, is this normal? I wonder if what I blocked is causing more pressure or if it’s normal for the pcv To have this much pressure on this car.

Thank you!

I don't know anything about a catch can on a 2.0 L but maybe try researching the 2.3 L. These motors are very similar, the 2.3 L is basically a forged internals stroker 2.0 L

I wanted to give you some help though.
