Hi guys, yesterday I arrived home and parked my car. I later went to restart my car and drive again, everything went smooth except when I attempted to put the car in drive I heard a few beeps and got a “shift sys fault Service Required” error message. The car is stuck in park and I’m getting the same message over and over.

Anyone have this issue before or have any ideas of things I could check myself before I start throwing money at it with a Mechanic

I have seen two people have shift cable failures. I believe it gave similar errors. I believe both could tell the shift cable was ruined where it mounts to the tranny

Thanks. I paid a mobile mechanic to take a look at it and he showed me the same thing. A broken cable.

My name is Alison and this exact thing happen to me I got home, parked and when I tried to move it this morning I couldn't.
Did you ever get your fixed? If so what was it?
