I have a 2015 MKC SUV. Neither key fob works and the key inside fob will not open driver door. How do I get inside vehicle to be able to pop the hood to have battery checked? This happened approx 6 months ago and car was boosted and taken to have battery checked. I was advised that the battery was not very old and battery was not the problem. I talked with the person I purchased the car from (purchased July 2020) and was advised that a new battery was put in the vehicle before it was sold to me. After the battery was checked, I had no other problem until today. Can someone please help? I can not remember how the people who checked the car the last time were able to get in car.

Thank you in advance for any help and advice.

Are you saying the key turns in the lock and doesn't unlock the door?
Do you know your keypad code?
Do you have a fresh battery in the FOB?

Our 15 MKC battery kept dying. Had the battery tested at Autozone and they told me it was a charging issue. Took it to Lincoln thinking I had to get the Alternator replaced and it turned out that it just needed a software update. No problems since.

My 2017 just did this twice and I tried the keypad code. It did not open the key itself. I could see the lot going up and down inside but I could not open the door. I change the battery in the key fob it would not open the door. It would open the hatch back in the back, but not the doors so I had to crawl through the hatchback. What is the problem?

Sounds like a module went bad. someone with a fancy scan tool can probably determine which one it is.

Can you explain? I assume you meant the lock going up and down but it should be a light to indicate whether it is locked.
Can you unlock the door (double pull the interior handle) and then it will work outside?

Can you use the internal physical key to unlock the drivers door and then it would unlock?
