I have a 2015 MKC in Sapphire blue, 2.0 Select Model, Built June 1014, bought June 2015.
We found rust bubbles on the bottom door of our MKC in July on the front drivers side door. Dealer removed it in July. Then we just found more on the front passenger side door, which will be scheduled to be removed. We have been working with a Lincoln Representative since posting on Lincoln's Facebook page. Other problems have been the headliner keeps falling out. I had it readjusted when I bought the vehicle, and then had it done again a week ago, and a week later it is falling out from behind the rubber seals.
Water keeps gushing out of my drivers side door after a rain? Anyone else have this problem.
We had the mirrors go on the fritz and had three updates with the mirrors done. So far so good.
Also had to have the Amp replaced which took 4 trips to the dealer to have this problem fixed, as my car would crackle and wasn't even on! P.S. the Amp is in the same spot your spare tire is located. Which means please be careful what you put in there. It is not a good spot for an amp to be located.

Then to top it all off. The Navigation system I believe was outdated when I bought the car. This week I received from Lincoln a notice indicating I can upgrade the SD card for Navigation for $149.00! I mean really! I can buy a Garmin with lifetime updates! Not to mention the package with the Navigation, cross traffic monitoring is $1100!

I have had this vehicle in more times for a car in one year than most of the cars I have had since I started driving at 19.

Some positives are it:
1. Drives great
2.Tows great
3.I love the color and body design.

Thank God for the 2 year maintenance plan, the rust coverage, and the free rentals as I have test driven almost all of the rentals in Lincoln MKZ, MKC, MKS, and a Ford Fusion Titanium while getting repairs done.

I am thankfull that I do not have a transmission problem, but I should in the year I have had this car only had to get an oil change.

The lower door of my Ford edge did the same thing (photo 1). I scraped it a bit and touched it up touch up paint. It never came back after 4 years.

Wow that sucks that it's getting that much water - I think I recall someone else had pictures on here and the whole spare tire was sitting in water (It's been a while) -
mine doesn't have that issue - the floor of mine gets wet under the front passenger seat when it rains for a few days (Like during spring) and this week here it's raining a couple days in a row -Ive been driving my other car - I leave the MKC in garage - Dealer couldn't ever make it leak(don't think they tried too hard) and the odd thing is, a Car Wash doesn't either - but let that car out for a couple days in the rain and I'll guarantee that floor is wet (No standing water) just wet to touch -
I miss my first Lincoln, but I'll be glad to drop this one off come December ('17) too many little naggy dumb things - turn into disappointment

Premature corrosion on ALL 4 doors at the hem and seam near window on one. I think this is a production defect that needs to be addressed as anyone affected will have their vehicle devalued on trade in or resale. Please check your doors carefully as I am coming to find this to be a huge issue with few even aware of it. I think that Ford needs to address and all that have this problem. Otherwise I am happy with my MKC but have never had any previous vehicle rust.

Hi there, Did you ever get any resolution on the peeling/rusting paint on the MKC? I have a 2015 Black MKC, and have bubbling/rusting inside of 3 doors, peeling paint/clear coat on the hood, and peeling paint on the back door. Called Lincoln and they said no recall notice for this.. quite frustrating.

I’m also curious to know if any fix/resolution for this issue?
The rust is from the water being trapped and will continue to happen until the water issue is fixed.
I have a 2017 mkc bought recently (certified pre-owned). Noticed the rust and they replaced the door since it was under warranty. And pulled out the drain plugs. Well just got the car back and we had our first rainfall— sure enough, water dumps out when I open the door for the first time. Only a matter of time for rust to form again
