My dad’s 2015 Lincoln MKC won’t shift from Park. Everything was working well, but just yesterday morning when he turned on the suv, it wouldn’t allow him to shift I to any gear. It recently got the digital instrument cluster replaced, but I don’t think it has anything to do with it. I could be wrong though. I connected my scanner and got a P175B-00 (TR) Control Module Shift cable disconnected/misadjusted.
Yes this is a common issue, if you search the forum you’ll find the exact repair procedure but the nylon bushings on the end of the cable can break, I’ve never done one but from what I’ve read on here it’s pretty easy to do
