Hello folks.
This morning, when I started my 2017 MKC, I had a blank radio screen.
Nothing at all.
I had left a CD in the player last evening when I put her to bed.
It was playing when I turned on the car, but I was unable to eject it.
The volume control seemed to work cuz I was able to turn down the volume.

I looked in the owners manual and found a section titled "SYNC 3 System Reset".

But it sates that the screen will go blank as a byproduct of this procedure.
In my case, the screen is already blank.

The article also reads about holding down the "Seek Up" button along with the volume button.

What "seek Up" button is this referencing ?

Is it the "seek" button that is part of the radio display ?
If so, that wont help me because I have a blank screen.

I was wondering if someone might be able to strighten me out on this so that, I might learn how to perform a SYNC 3 System Reset, with an already blank screen so that I might try and get my display back.

Thanks for any and all replies.

So the seek up is just the next/fast forward button between the two circular (volume and tune buttons) below the screen. If I remember correctly, with the car on, you press and hold next/fast forward/seek up button AND the eject button about 7 seconds until the SYNC system reboots. If that doesn't work, try the next button and the volume/radio power button. You will know that it has rebooted when you (hopefully) see something on your screen.

Hope this helps.

I don’t know for sure how to do that without looking into it a little bit but you’re seek up it Is between the volume and tune button, it shows seek left and seek right. Seek right = seek up

OKay then.
Everything is now working once again.

With the engine running (and a blank screen), I held down BOTH the power button and the "seek up" bottom for 10 second.
I waited 2 minutes and nothing changed on my screen. (It remained blank.)

I then restarted the engine and everything returned to normal.

I thank everyone for the help.
You have saved me a lot of time (and a service fee I'm sure if I would have taken the MKC into my Dealership).

Take care everyone.

I had that problem I just disconnected the pos. terminal on the battery and that did it. I also did the same with no audio after battery drained. Dead battery is an other issue that has happened 5or5 times. Always in the morning. I know many have had this problem. Wish Lincoln would step up.
