Hello all..can I just put my 2017 MKC in Sport mode and drive as I normally would without using shifter paddles?

I know there's Comfort/Normal/Sport in "D" (drive) so just wondering if I can drive normally without paddles.

Thank u.

Yes, as long as you do NOT use the paddle shifters beyond that point, if you DO use the paddle shifters after going into SPORT you will override it 's programmed shift points ( higher) and would need to continually paddle shift from that point on.....if you simply just choose Sport it would auto shift for you....
I can't understand why the paddle shifters are not stationary, they should be in a permanent position so coming out of a corner or a turn, you don't need to hunt them down! Porsche, Ferrari and a slew of other cars have premaritally located paddles, usually east/west to the steering column .
