I would not, but that is a personal preference. Usually you will expect a better look, worse MPG, rougher ride, and more expensive tires.

I have the 20” with ride control and the ride is much firmer than the 19s. So as stated above the ride may suffer and the tires will be pricey.

I have the 20" wheels and they look great on the car. I'm also a fan of a firmer ride so that was not an issue for me. If you like it that's really all that matters :)

I have the 20" wheels on my 2016 MKC. They really do look nice, but I can understand how some might think they look really big for a vehicle that size. The 20" tires are 40 profile, I think 22" tires would be 35 or 30 profile => very little sidewall. For me, 20" for the MKC is as big as I would go, but if you find a set of 22" that you like and can live with the ride (and live someplace with pothole-less roads) go for it. BTW, I think the new Aviators come (standard or option?) with 22" wheels.
