One of the fine quality tactile features of our MKC's is the euro quality leather wrapped steering wheel.
Remember how silky yet grippy it was when you took delivery? But they get sticky or slick and colder after miles and miles.
After a year (or more for some of us), we need to take some lukewarm water, mild soap, and a terry washcloth to it. Don't be afraid to first soak it a bit, then scrub with a tight grip while twisting the rim diameter.
Check the washcloth-you won't believe the dirt and whatever that comes out. Repeat until the rag stops picking up crud.
When it dries, that wheel will feel just like it did when you spun out of that dealer lot.......:grin

Gross. I always clean mine with leather cleaner and it feels like new. In the many loaners I've had I now bring wipes right to the dealer now because the first time I got the loaner home and cleaned the steering wheel I almost threw up...just think of who touched what then touched the steering wheel..one of the dirtiest/germ laden places.yuk.

Always so happy to get back into my clean car..
