Everytime I turn my 2019 MKC off and on I have to re connect android auto, i.e. privacy and terms of use, re connect 911 etc...is this normal?...So far dealer is no help.
There are two ways of connecting. Bluetooth and/or with a cable. If you want Google Map navigation, you must have the cable connected. COntacts, phone calls and stuff like that can be done through bluetooth. The cable doesn;t have to be connected. Each time I get in the car the car connects to my cellphone and Android Auto. However, if my wife is in the car with me (she has an iPhone), sometimes the car will select her phone as primary. So I have to switch my phone on the MKC screen as the phone when I'm driving.
Sometimes, it takes a few minutes to connect. Check your phone to see if the Android Auto app is connected to the car. Also, I find that once connected, I may have to select Android Auto on the MKC screen for navigation as the car has it's own navigation icon you can select. There are in effect 2 navigations icons - one from the car and one from Android(Google Maps).
However, I never have to log in privacy or terms of use again. I don;t know what you mean by connect 911. If the dealer is not helpful, call the Lincoln COncierge and/or another dealer. I;d ask for the service manager and complain a lot.
