Hey everyone,
Can anyone help me find a video or how to remove the factory APIM and upgrade with navigation? Was looking to buy a used apim and swap it out, but I can't find any videos to show me how to remove the plastics. Any help out there?

I found a youtube to swap a MKZ but can't find one for a MKC.

I don’t believe you need a new APIM to activate navigation. I didn’t have navigation and used forscan and some usb files to activate it. Works great!

Yes Tazama76 is right, no need to replace APIM on sync 2 systems, there is a lot of information on f150online.com on how to do this. If you want to upgrade to sync3, APIM replacement is necessary, and I am not sure what is needed to activate navi on sync3 systems. Let me know if you need to get to the APIM, the removal is easy but very unusual.
