I recently cleaned my back up camera and now the image has shifted. It is as if the camera is pointing more downward and as a result about a quarter of the display shows my license plate. The camera itself doesn't appear to move, so what happened? Is there a setting someplace I missed? thanks.

is it possible you have zoomed in? there is a spyglass with a + sign inside, perhaps you toggled it on. It should be set to normal on restart. Otherwise I would suggest to see if the camera itself is loose fitting.
" is it possible you have zoomed in? there is a spyglass with a + sign inside, perhaps you toggled it on." seriously? where is this feature found inside?

When in reverse, you should see a little magnifying glass in the upper left corner. Hit it and it zooms. My 2015 MKC has that. It may be different for different years. My 2017 MKZ just has a plus or minus sign in the upper left, no magnifying glass.

I've only used it a couple times. Once when I saw some critter on the floor of my garage when I started to back up, I zoomed in on it to try and figure out what it was. Ended up having to get out and take a closer look... turned out to be a scorpion. Ugh... Not poisonous in GA, but the sting still hurts like heck.

Let us know countryguy....we both have pretty similar 2016's ....been too busy enjoying driving the Mustang GT to even bother with the MKC....pretty soon the 'Stang goes back up on blocks and that be it for the year....then back to the MKC.

I checked and indeed there is the zoom button on the top left of the screen. It really isn't a zoom in that you can't select the level of zoom. There are only 2 options - the standard display and a very close shot....nothing in between.

Well, that's a little different than mine....mine is a "+" or a "-" @ top right corner...when you hit the + on mine, it does NOT appear to zoom, it merely offers a more downward angle, I looked at it in this mode and it appears like it's a different plane of view! weird...

Same here, except it's the upper left corner.....must be one of those unique differences they make for the Great White North:wink

Yeah maybe....little tweaks here and there, I actually double checked where the camera + or - are after wondering if mine were actually on the right top corner....they are, weird....
