After quite the rollercoaster of a ride since last November with my lemon 2015 MKC (buyback) and waiting forever for a 2016 MKX, I have passed on the 2016 MKX and have decided to purchase a new 2016 MKC instead.

I have a fully loaded Burgundy on its way. I am excited to see what Sync3 has in store and the Burgundy will be a new color spectrum for me vs. my normal choices. Got the Reserve 2.3, 20"s, THX, Climate, Tech Package, Trailer Tow and all weather floor mats.

I will post pics when it arrives!!! :)

the burgundy is nice if you haven't seen it in person. They should have offered hazelnut interior with that color!
What interior did you get and when is it due in?
Yeah.. no hazelnut :(

Its ebony interior. It's in stock at a local dealer, so they just have to go get it.

I have not actually seen the Burgundy in person... I am hoping it's nice, also every piece of info on the Lincoln site always calls it Burgandy Velvet. The sticker calls it Burgandy Velvet Tinted CC (which I assume means clear coat). All the dealers website's typically describe it as Burgundy Velvet Metallic. I am hoping it has metallic in it and is not a flat paint. I would sure hope since they charge you more for it ($495), that is has some sort of metallic to it.

I am hoping to have it by Monday or Tuesday.

After seeing the pic of the other members Blacklabel with the Black grill wings... wow, I really want a set of those. Once I get it I will got talk to the parts guys and see if those are obtainable. Hopefully they come black and are not a paint needed item. Also I know from experience you can't easily paint the chromed plastic. I had a F-250 with the big chrome plastic grill surround and I had a paint and body guy spend a bunch of time trying to paint it with the TriCoat White Metallic the rest of the truck was. Since you can't easily sand the chrome off the plastic without damage, and paint is very hard to get to stick or lay well on the chrome... it was a loosing battle. Ended up just spending $180 on a new paint ready surround... then it was easy and looked factory.

I did not see it up close in bright sun but from what someone else described it is metallic and looks slightly different shades in different light, and has a metallic flake "sparkle" as my son calls it. This is per their description so I cannot say myself except its darker than the Ruby Red (which I might have gotten but I love the back tail light of the MKC and felt the colors were too similar and the tail light got washed out too much in daylight-I prefer more contrast) The darker red color allows more contrast and the tail light to still stand out without being lit at night.

I think the black grill will look great with that color too.
Yes definitely easier and better to get he grille from Lincoln if you can..but it is black label exclusive so I wonder if they will do it for you?

Keep us posted! Only a few more days great!

The burgundy velvet is a stunning color. We test drove one but it did not have the options we wanted we also wanted the hazelnut interior, which is not available. congrats on the 2016.

So does someone actually know why certain exterior/internal combinations are not offered? I mean, what's up with that. The painting robot refuses to paint a certain color because it thinks it clashes with certain interior colors? I don't get it.

Fricken Exactly!!!! Who is making these decisions? Let us decide how to match our shirt and pants.

While I would initially think it has to do with decisions made by the design teams, it doesn't make sense across models. For example, I love the color Luxe that's been offered across the range the last couple years. It's sort of a light taupe with just a hint of gold. I had a 2015 MKZ loaner while my C was in for the Sirius & heat/cool seat TSBs and that color was really beautiful! (Light Dune interior) The Hazelnut interior, in my opinion, would have been a perfect natural match given the brownish tone of the Luxe exterior, but, like the MKC, Hazelnut is not offered with Luxe on the MKZ. It is, however, offered with Luxe on the MKS. Go figure!!

Side note: before I ordered my MKC, I was all set to get a Sterling Grey 2014 MKZ to replace my outgoing 2011 MKZ and planned to pair it with the Hazelnut because that combo was available in 2014. Though that would have looked good! That Grey is also now gone. Replaced by Magnetic, which is darker, drabber and not as good-looking IMHO.
