Just purchased MKC w/select package. Backup camera does not show any white action lines when turning the car while backing and there is no setting for turning on or off. Is this a malfunction or are action lines only available with certain packages/accessories? Pls help.

If you have the camera, you should be able to change the settings. I copied this from the owner's manual--hope it helps. I'm sure others will jump in and help too. Good luck.

Camera System Settings
To access any of the rear view camera
system settings, make the following
selections in the multifunctional display when
the transmission is not in reverse (R):
• Menu > Vehicle > Camera Settings
Enhanced Park Aids or Park Pilot
Selectable settings for this feature are ON
and OFF.
The system uses red, yellow and green
highlights that appear on top of the video
image when any of the sensing systems
detect an object.
Rear Camera Delay
Selectable settings for this feature are ON
and OFF.
The default setting for the rear camera delay
is OFF.
When shifting the transmission out of reverse
(R) and into any gear other than park (P), the
camera image

Thx. I have been in these settings. My question does not pertain to the red, yellow and green stationary lines as these appear fine. My problem is there are no white action lines which should appear when turning the vehicle. These lines show the direction the vehicle is going in while backing. These action lines also appear in the how to videos. My question is why am I not seeing the white lines while backing. Is it due to a malfunction or something associated with a specific option which I apparently don't have?

I went back to the owner's manual and it seems that if you don't have active park assist, then you won't get those lines. That's my interpretation anyway. Page 199.
