Well here's something you don't see everyday, an MKC with Consular plates:

And that color (Midnight Sapphire Metallic?) really does look great, even in less that optimal light:

Love my Midnight Sapphire! When the car is clean and has a good coat of wax, the color really looks rich. Also has a nice variation of hue depending on the viewing angle.
^^ totally agree. it almost looks black at nite.
Yup, I agree! Washed, waxed and on a sunny day the metallic specks make it look spectacular. I love my white sand leather interior as well, but do have to keep an eye out for any sign of dirt :)
Lots of "sparkle" (as my son would say) in the tuxedo black too. On a sunny day with the car care products I use the specks look suspended in 3D. The black has blue and silver specks in it.

What color specks are in the midnight sapphire?
That's why I opted for the White Sands/Espresso interior, dk4500. Enough light color on the doors, headliner and center console to brighten the interior, but the deep, deep brown of the seats, carpet and door armrests make it much easier to keep clean. My former MKZ had the Camel interior (even the steering wheel...) and it drove me nuts keeping it free of dirt and stains. I also love the way it looks with the M. Sapphire, as well as the Tahitian Pearl, Tuxedo Black and Smoked Quartz exteriors from the 2015 MY.
Also, I just saw that interior on an MKC at the Orange County Auto Show last week with the Luxe exterior for 2016 and that combo looked great due to the Taupe-ish hue of the Luxe! (I love that color)

We struggled for a couple of weeks deciding on the interior color White Sands Vs White Sands/Espresso. Decided on White Sands/Espresso. Wife thought the light color seats would drive me nuts and the salesman warned us on color transfer. We are really pleased with the look.

I see blue, silver and a smattering of purple specks in the Midnight Sapphire metallic flake. It's that purple hint that gives it different degrees of blue color when it's clean and depending on how the light hits it.
Cool. I've only see that color close up at night or someone's that was dirty :-(
Purple specks! Nice. They describe the chroma colors for black label as similar in that the cars' colors will look different from different angles.

Wanna talk about the coolest paint ever. Who's seen paramagnetic paint?!?!? Doing a search for my sons "color changer" cars (a Disney/hot wheels toy) I found this. Would kill to have my MKC color change, my son would lose his mind! So would mommy :)

Check this out.

Didn't know this existed. Very cool.
Another compliment on my tuxedo black paint..
Every time someone gets close to my car in the sun they almost always comment on the "sparkle" and color...

Actually read a little while after I saw it that it's all supposed to be a hoax of some sort and the paint does not really change color like that. There is a chromatic paint that does change color when looked at from different angles with different light but the dramatic color change you see in this video is supposedly video editing....can anyone confirm?
Yeah, it's edited video....although there are "flip flop" paint jobs out there, and those usually cost $15,000 easy, see a few personally at auto shows, but usually a flip of colour from front to back,a and it is gradual as you walk around the car.

yeah, that's the chroma or chameleon paint I was talking about, guess there are a few different names to describe it.
