We are happy with the voice commands that let us control climate etc. Sounds like the advanced controls would have been a nice feature though.
Yes I miss it! Had it in my 2012 Edge. The Fusions have it... but the 2015 MKC and MKZ don'tDoes anyone miss being able to control climate from the steering wheeling controls? This feature was able on the first generation of my ford/lincoln touch. There were also advanced navigation controls where you could have selected previous destinations from the wheel.
Ford / Lincoln removed this from all models. I wonder why?
that's what i realized at first. it's always that learning curve that you have to get by before it really becomes as easy and useful as it's made out to be.We started out hating voice commands, but not cannot function without them. We made a cheat sheet at first so we could remember terminology and now it comes natural. Exploring Automatic Climate Control by Voice | MyLincoln Touch | Lincoln.com
I never use two hands on the steering wheel daily driving. I will at 100 plus or on an oval track, but that is totally different and very rare anymore. You're missing the point. It's less distracting when you don't have to take your hands off the wheel.
Alright, being that all I have ever had on my steering wheels for C/C were up and down temps buttons on front or on back or voice commands. How about you explain how the first generation of My Ford/Lincoln Touch worked from the steering wheel to control the C/C without some kind of button or voice command on the steering wheel. Or add just a link? There are no extra buttons Linc. You obviously don't know how it worked.
