Cornering Lamps ?

Does anyone know whether the MKC has cornering lamps? My Wife's 2013 Escape Titanium has them, ya know when you are turning it illuminates a light to the side of the vehicle. I tried to test drive a MKC at night and did not notice whether it did that or not.

Just curious...

OMG, cornering lamps-----------A thing from the past. Had them on a '93 Taurus SHO, loved them, and all of a sudden, they disappeared ?????
Yeah... when we got my Wife's 13 Escape Titanium, it was one of the first things I noticed. I was like "Hey what the heck, I don't have those on my Limited Edge that stickered for 8 grand more!!!"

I just assumed they would be on the MKC if they were resurrecting them for some reason putting them on the Escape.... but I guess not.
This is my first car with HID lights. I am picky about lighting- usually upgrading whatever the factory plugs in there.
But I miss neither the fog lights or cornering lights at all.
The headlighting is one of MKC's finest features in my book.

Agreed!!!

After having decent HIDs in my Limited Edge and spectacular HIDs in the Wife's Titanium Escape (they brights bloom out much higher and wider then my Edge) I made a point of going to my dealer after dusk. I wanted to drive the MKC at night to compare it to the Escape/Edge I had been used to. Although I did not have an opportunity to drive on completely dark country roads like I would heading home from town, I did get to experience a good example and was happy with the performance.

Still not sure if they are as good as the Escape, but definitely on par or better then the Edge.

And yeah, we never use the Fogs on the Escape and I don't have them on the Edge either, just those goofy little light pipes.

I couldn't agree more. This is my second car with HID head lamps, but it's the first one that actually feels like I don't need fog lights or cornering lamps, ever. There's such a wonderfully shaped beam of light that spreads evenly side to side, near to far, that I couldn't imagine any additional lights being able to improve visibility.

About the only downside to the headlights on the MKC is that way too often driving around town, people flash me thinking I have my highs on. I don't want to be a dick and flash them back to say "no, really, I don't have my high-beams on... see", but man is it tempting some days.
Love the auto on/off high beam feature, and the automatic windshield wipers.
Actually there isn't anything I don't like about the car.
Do hope/wish it will be possible to upgrade My Lincoln Touch in the future
