I just picked up my new MKC last Thursday, and the front dash speaker grilles rattle like crazy. I'm very surprised this wasn't noticed during the 17 miles the car was driven before it left the factory. Has anyone else experienced this?

Same problem here, but on the driver's side.
Dealer said it was the first time he heard about it, but I noticed rattling on all 4 MKC's I drove (My new 2017, Date night MKC and the 2 loaners I had so far)
Dealer was able to get rid of most of it

My 2016 also does this on the drivers side. Its a rattle. I have messed around with trying to figure out how to quiet it, ya know pressing in different spots, jamming a piece of folded paper etc. Have yet to get it 100% quiet. Sometimes it makes no noise at all. Temperature has a lot to do with when it does it or not.

The dealer was able to fix the problem. The repair order says it was the plastic dash trim panel which goes against the windshield. They had to remove the a-Pillar trim and applied some 2 way tape underneath near the ends of the panel and that cured it. They already knew what the problem was because they've had others bring theirs in for the same problem.

Glad to know that there are others like mine. Front Driver speaker rattles when it is cold out, but stops as the car warms up and drivers around. Will bring it up to dealership when I go in for my first oil change later this Dec or next year.

Mine does it, too. What's weird is that I got my MKC in March 2016 and that rattle didn't start until December so it took 9 months for that particular rattle to start. However, I've had a different rattle, this one from the black housing that covers the sensor behind the rear view mirror. I've had that annoying rattle since shortly after getting the MKC in late March 2016.

I've not had mine fixed yet. The dealer said they'd need the car for a while, probably at least overnight (they'd give me a loaner), and I didn't have time to deal with that then so I'll have to schedule that later.

I noted the problem when I dropped it off for 10K service and when they called me back to say that it is ready they said that there was a TSB for it and fixed it. Will come back for an update after I pick up the car from them.

Dealer ID'ed the issue as TSB 16-0156 and "fixed" it with some foam strips according to the invoice. Noticed a dramatic improvement driving back home and this morning to the office. I would say the noise is about 80% gone, to the point where I can live with.
