I have the MKC 2016 select and was wondering if the outside lighting can be disabled? Or even shorten the off delay. Either by program select or hack. I'm talking about the outside lighting that comes on when ever a door is opened.

I'd start by looking at forscan and "dark car", although that may do more than what you want, if it works for an MKC.

Simply by selecting Vehicle in the left display in the speedometer area, select lighting, and turn off Welcome lighting. It should stop lighting up the vehicle when you approach it or open the door. The only lights that would turn on are the interior lights.

I did turn off the welcome lighting and it only turned off the approach lighting. Still lights up outside anytime I touch the door handle or open the door. Yes, I'm sometimes in areas I don't want to be lit up like a Christmas tree. I kinda gave up on this, I don't feel like learning how to hack my car. I was kinda hoping I could pull a fuse or something.
