Guys please check your antennas for me. Mine was returned from the fix with the antenna loose and bouncing around. Dealer sends me videos of 4 mkcs on the lot that have loose antennas as they say "flexing" as they applied force to show movement and they all do that. Nope.

I've waxed my car and that antenna twice and prior to the TSB fix it was rock solid and did not move or flex at all. OMG. Had it done that it would have been back to the dealer in April the first time I would have noticed it...

So they are trying to say it's normal LOL. if anyone else has a loose antenna let me know. Thanks.

Movement after the fix should be the same as factory ( side to side - none, vertical - none, back to front - some flex with force applied) . Had the same problem after fix -- dealer claimed forgot to put locktight on - to prevent loosening of nuts/bolts. Plus had to take it back because they did not reinstall all clips for the headliner and other areas, so check.

Thanks dale. Did you have a gap wide enough to allow water in? When I lifted up on the antenna it came up about 1/2 inch and a small amount of water dripped out. I had been driving around (thankfully not much) with it like that in the rain once or twice. Worried water got underneath and on interior headliner. There may have been a slight flex in the original one in one direction as you said but mine isn't attached. Dealer said bolt thing too. Goes in soon again.
