As I completed a 2 year lease with a 2014 Ford Escape SE, I was looking for my next leased vehicle. I enjoyed my nicely equipped (201a package), 1.6L Ecoboost Escape, especially the compact, agile size that still allowed for plenty of cargo space for a 50 mile a day commuter (female) in the sandwich generation-- moving kids to and from college, small dog owner and caring for a senior parent in a wheelchair, walker, etc. It was also a very comfortable daily driver and fun to drive (peppy). I drove my husband's 2015 Fusion during the lease "bridge" period and decided I definitely missed my compact CUV.

I decided to see if I could move up into a luxury class CUV within a reasonable additional financial investment. Decided to check out the entry-level 2017 MKC and found the 2.0L | FWD, Premiere 100A package to have a lot of nice upgraded STANDARD features that made it VERY cost competitive AND a much nicer vehicle for me than an Escape. Especially like the 2.0 L Turbo, LED running lights and HID headlights, remote start, power liftgate, heated seats, dual climate control, auto stop, hill assist, and SYNC3 with Android Auto, which allows me to have Google Maps on my screen (better than a Nav system in my opinion).

The Lincoln warranty (4 yrs/50K miles) and convenient service perks (car pickup and return with loaner) allowed me to consider a three year lease. The welcome lighting features were just too cool and were standard with entry package. This is a completely different feeling vehicle from my Escape (though they share a platform). Lower and wider with a distinctive quiet ride and very nicely appointed seats and cabin. I got a 3 year, 16,500 mi per year lease at a very competitive price to the 2017 Escape I was pricing at the same time. (We got several year end Lincoln incentives, plus we had Ford A plan pricing. Under $33K MSRP for buyers).

I got my MKC Thanksgiving weekend and have loved every mile of the 5,000 (!) miles I'v put on it so far. My Escape was a pleasant runabout. My MKC is my haven, making my commute and errands tips my refuge. I note that these vehicles are doing well with "my" demographic (professional women of a certain age). And I can see why. A friend of mine, just picked up her new MKC this week after trying it out on my recommendation. Another plus for me as a resident of the Bluegrass region-- it's Kentucky built. This forum was helpful as I considered the vehicle. Will be interested to keep up here. Thanks for sharing.

Greeting everyone. I've been visiting this group for the last two months. But now I'm officially the new owner of a 2017 MKC 2.0, Reserve - Sapphire
w/ Tech Package, Climate Package 18" wheels. Picked it up yesterday. Built 1/23/17. Trying to set up the app now, having a little trouble. Also might have a little fluid leak ;-(. Otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with the first drive beyond the test drive.

App is having some issues at times, you need to have the vehicle authorize you as a user (24 hour wait-I believe), notice will need to be acknowledged in car. Fluid leak? hope it's nothing. Welcome to the forum!
