Hi guys,

Just picked up my my MKC 2.3 last week. I'm really in love with my new car :)

I was wondering. What driving mode do you set the vehicle on most often?

1) Comfort
2) Standard
3) Sport

While I appreciate the Sport mode when in the mood for such driving style, I usually drive my car in Comfort mode. The engine runs super smoothly and the suspension is also just as smooth.

I was wondering your favorite mode. Oh and just for fun, specify your age :wink and also if you have the 2.0 liter or the 2.3.

I'm 37 :)

Thanks

The suspension has 3 modes:

Comfort
Normal
Sport

The engine/transmission has 2 modes:

Normal
Sport

There is no Comfort mode for the engine/transmission

I leave it in Normal/Normal almost all of the time. I find Comfort suspension much too soft and wallows under all conditions. I like Sport suspension mode for aggressive driving, it stiffens up nicely, but I don't do it much as the MKC doesn't really incite the desire to drive that way.

As for the engine/transmission, I find Sport annoying, it holds gears too long. I can accelerate hard in Normal by just pushing the pedal all the way to the floor.

Ageing and and lot of poor roadways, so I use Comfort mode. It is a big plus to have it in a small SUV for me with my physical conditions on the many substandard broken down roads. Even my wife with no problems prefers the Comfort setting. I will play with Sport Trans at times, but prefer Normal Trans 95%.

Favorite mode...
....If you mean which one do I enjoy selecting, it is Sport. It means turn the radio down, re-adjust the seat- we are going to play. No it is not a sports car, but it can be a good time.
....If you mean which setting sees the most time, that is Normal. Going to work on the rough 4 lane, running errands swinging around town and parking lots, N is a great compromise.
....If you mean the mode that makes the MKC stand apart, Comfort is pretty amazing for making this CUV feel 50% bigger. I love it to handle the Interstates around here with their poor condition (S.C. is 49th) grooved patchy surfaces and nasty bridge expansion strips.

So- what this really means is this is my for sure favorite feature of the vehicle. Don't miss this check box if you are ordering. Nineteen and Twenty inch rims may bling the eyes, but this is the best way to make your C feel nice (and versatile)

I leave it in Normal mode most of the time. The comfort mode is a little too soft. I do occasionaly use Sport mode when driving on winding roads. I realize it's not a sports car, but can't a guy have a little fun once in awhile!!!:wink

1st month - comfort suspension in drive
2nd/current month - normal suspension in drive

changed suspension to feel the difference.

comfort is super comfortable but has less control. will definitely use this setting on long drives. heck, will probably use this all the time. :grin

sport suspension in sport tightens up nicely. takes corners better along with freeway on ramps. :angel

Suspension in normal mode is just too soft, have mine set in sport mode....engine in normal mode but I do toggle between sport for "spirited driving" and normal for basic around town driving...In sport mode, you can see the tech jump up and it loads the power for better spirited driving, zero turbo lag....hate the high interior belt line, at 5' 9" I'm of average height yet unless I have the drivers seat sitting pretty high up, it's uncomfortable to drive with your elbow resting on the upper door trim.....if I lower it so I can rest my elbow on the built in left armrest, Im too low! ....this is the only car I ever drove with this weird position!
