The suspension has 3 modes:
Comfort
Normal
Sport
The engine/transmission has 2 modes:
Normal
Sport
There is no Comfort mode for the engine/transmission
I leave it in Normal/Normal almost all of the time. I find Comfort suspension much too soft and wallows under all conditions. I like Sport suspension mode for aggressive driving, it stiffens up nicely, but I don't do it much as the MKC doesn't really incite the desire to drive that way.
As for the engine/transmission, I find Sport annoying, it holds gears too long. I can accelerate hard in Normal by just pushing the pedal all the way to the floor.
