I spoke to the Sales Manager at my local Lincoln dealership today. He informed me that he has already received details of his first two allocations, which are expected to arrive at the dealership at the end of May or beginning of June. The formal rollout will take place sometime in June, which is a little earlier than expected based on my communication with Lincoln's concierge service. He's expecting a black on black 2.0L and a white on black 2.3L. Both are fully loaded. I really want so see the white sands/espresso interior, so I am a little disappointed both will have the black interior. While his initial stock allocations are limited, he said he can enter "sold" orders now for custom configurations.
I was also informed that Lincoln will be introducing the Date Night Experience program to the MKC in June. Date Night includes use of the car for up to 48 hours, a complimentary $100 pre-paid VISA card and dinner for two on Lincoln. There is no cost to potential customers. Obviously the point is to give us a chance to experience the car in our everyday lives instead of a 15 minute test drive. (I wish I could have done that with my BMW.) Apparently they've offered Date Night on the MKZ and it was a huge success. I can't say I'm surprised. I'm sure a lot of customers feel a little obligated after driving the car for two days.
