First Allocations Confirmed

I spoke to the Sales Manager at my local Lincoln dealership today. He informed me that he has already received details of his first two allocations, which are expected to arrive at the dealership at the end of May or beginning of June. The formal rollout will take place sometime in June, which is a little earlier than expected based on my communication with Lincoln's concierge service. He's expecting a black on black 2.0L and a white on black 2.3L. Both are fully loaded. I really want so see the white sands/espresso interior, so I am a little disappointed both will have the black interior. While his initial stock allocations are limited, he said he can enter "sold" orders now for custom configurations.

I was also informed that Lincoln will be introducing the Date Night Experience program to the MKC in June. Date Night includes use of the car for up to 48 hours, a complimentary $100 pre-paid VISA card and dinner for two on Lincoln. There is no cost to potential customers. Obviously the point is to give us a chance to experience the car in our everyday lives instead of a 15 minute test drive. (I wish I could have done that with my BMW.) Apparently they've offered Date Night on the MKZ and it was a huge success. I can't say I'm surprised. I'm sure a lot of customers feel a little obligated after driving the car for two days.

**** straight they do LOL. We did date night with the MKZ just because who is going to argue about a free dinner and a spanking new Lincoln hehehh.

What bothers me about the White Sands/Expresso interior is that it requires reserve pack and requires upgraded wheel options (not really an issue I want them anyways). At least that is per the configurator...

Also have to say I'm disappointed they wont let me have hazelnut leather with Tahitian Pearl Metallic. If they want to be serious about lux Lincoln needs to let us smash together whatever options we want, especially if its a bespoke order...

But thank you for confirming the allocation info. I should call my local this afternoon!

I have to agree. Sometimes contrasting colors can look great together. That's one area where the Europeans have a decided advantage ... they're much more accommodating when it comes to interior/exterior color combos. Heck you can get an orange X1 with red leather if you want it. (Eww!) But then the Japanese are even more restrictive with color combos, so I guess it could be worse.
great news.

so allocations numbers are already being sent out

maybe we should have a thread sharing allocation info

I didn't post this last week, but my dealer called and said Lincoln had called and asked for my drivers license number to confirm that they had placed an order for a customer. Didn't think much of it until today. The sales manager called to say that Lincoln had confirmed my order and had stated they will be building the customer orders before the initial dealer orders. I can expect my MKC before the end of May. :)

Fantastic! Can't wait to get the report. Is your deposit refundable in the event there's something about the car you don't like?
I have been buying from this dealer for almost twenty years. Between personal, relatives and work, I've purchased over 25 vehicles (used, GMC, Nissan, Ford & Lincoln) from him. I know whatever happens, it'll be made right.

proper. Really one of the most important parts of buying a vehicle is do you feel comfortable with who you're buying from. I mean thats why people will stick with ont brand for so long, they know they know how they've been treated before with Dealership X, why risk that on Y if you're already happy with X?
My dealer has three coming in
Tuxedo Black/Ebony
Karat Gold/White Sands
Silver/Ebony

Looking forward to checking them out, on the date night list:)

How can you get on the date night list?
Contact your Lincoln dealership and ask them to put you on the list.
Just call your dealer and let em know you want to be on it. At the same time find out when they expect to receive their orders. They should be happy to tell you.
