Lights started their pattern blinking again last night, two separate instances. Car will go back to dealer Monday (not dealer's fault, they have been great). Obviously we can't trust the car to travel and that was the main reason for the purchase. Replacing the body control module (BCM) didn't fix it.

All instances of blinking were at night, perhaps a link to a system which feeds off of the light sensor? All instances were also in the night after we used the power lift gate, there may be a link there?

The MKC is built on the Ford Escape platform. There are three technical service bulletins (TSBs) for 2014 Escapes specifically mentioning the BCM and one other which mentions various electical issues related to the lights and signals. Wonder if these are related?

Good luck Rayovac and Emily Elisabeth!

Blinked again most of last night (at least while we were awake and going when we got up). Tried the power lift gate yesterday and it seems to correlate with the blinkin Lincoln syndrome. Taking it into the Dealer this morning. They're trying their best and Lincoln engineering has been involved. We're hoping for the best but we need to have a reliable vehicle so we can take some trips we've been planning on!

Keep the updates coming. Hopefully they can get this figured out.

I am in Chicago again for the week. Been driving the car daily, so there has been no issues with starting etc. MyLincoln remote starts have been working fine as well. The Satelitte radio is really, really worthless... I am out by O'Hare/Rosemont area... and it drops all the time. I thought it was just a downtown, on the Skyway deal, but wow... if I actually lived here man I would be fuming (more then I do already). I really like and use XM... so these dropouts are pretty frustrating.

However... not to minimize your issues... the radio is a minor deal comparatively. Keep on em.... keep track of all the downtime you have without the vehicle and really good records of the service and complaints.

Thanks, Rayovac, this was apparently not just our problem. There is a temporary fix (kluge) which is just turning off the "welcome lights" (see the Emily Elisabeth thread). The longer-term fix is a programming fix which has no current timeline. Apparently the problem was associated with the use of the power lift gate but using it is OK now that the welcome lights are off. We will do the experiment tomorrow or maybe Sat to be sure. We have our car back. We still like it and hope that this time the temporary fix is correct and that the final programming fix will come in a reasonable time.
