Why am i averaging only around 20 mpg. with a 2.0 ??????????????
I set my cruise control at 68 mpg and drove non-stop on highway for 50 miles. My mpg was an amazing 32 mpg. But upping the speed, decreased the mpg.
I've got the 2.0.and I don't drive crazy - I set cruise at about 75 on way to work and home or you get run over (highway -limit is 70) - rarely drive it in town and I'm only averaging 22.5 - highest I've ever gotten is 26.5 on a really long turnpike trip - (my MKT got better highway mileage -) it's got 9100 miles on it now so I figure it's broke in well enough, I've resigned myself to getting low 20's for mpg and don't really check it too often anymore
mine gets around 100KM per 8.5 litres whatever that means....I don't bother with it much, it is what it is,can't change anything on it! oh and that's pretty easy crusing too, not trying to race Andretti!
Around town and city milage barely meets sticker. Same here 19-21 most short haul start stop driving. Better on freeway. Trip from SF area to desert saw: 60 - 65 mph = 30-31 mpg, 70 mph = 28-29 mpg, 80 mph = 26-27 mpg. So sweet spot is level cruising at 50 - 60 mph. The 2.0 fwd will beat the sticker. Use the turbo - three sheets to the wind - it's drunk. I suspect the 2.3 is about the same but off maybe 1 mpg to the 2.0. Other owners can report.
I'm averaging 18 to 19 city and 26 to 28 highway with a 2.3. Keep in mind winter blend fuels lower mileage if your area has that type of fuel. Overall the mileage is about as advertised.
I travel 25 km one way to work. About 7 km is travelling at 80 kmh, 3 km is 50 kmh and 15 km is at 115 kmh. Right now I am getting about 22-23 mpg but there is also about 5 minutes of idling time when I start the car in the morning, at lunch, and when I finish work.
I tend to get 21-22mpg in town and as good as 30 on a long trip.
To be honest with you guys....I like playing with driving her in sport mode (which is NOT the best way to get stellar mileage) but then the FUN factor goes straight up! hehehe
In sport mode, paddle shifting this engine just RoCkS!!!!! excellent pickup
Have had the C for 7 months, with the 2.3 and about 7k miles on it and have averaged 22-23 mpg in mixed driving from day one...pretty consistent. Took one big 1k mile trip where the speed limit was 70 most of the way and I averaged 75 (and of course everyone was passing me) and only got about 24mpg. I would expect much better results from the 2.0

The 2.3 is rated at 26 mpg highway which is based on speeds less than 75 mph. I have gone on highway trips where one way was into a headwind and coming back was a tailwind. The return trip had a higher mpg. So there are many variables from tire pressure to oil to the fuel you use including the blend of the fuel.
Personally, I find I get much better fuel mileage with 91 Shell octane.....as opposed to reg gas
Last July I went on a 1700 km (about 1000 miles) road trip, averaging about 115-120 kmh and got about 30 mpg with the 2.3 L engine using regular fuel.
My wife gets 23.3 in the city, I get a lot less.

In medical terms you have this thing called leadinatius footonis and there is no known cure for it!

I caught it from a 5.0.
I've had my 2016 fwd 2.0 for just a little more than a month, have roughly 1600 miles. Drive 2/3 highway- 1/3 city to work daily. Averaging 25.4 very happy with this. I turned in a Nissan Rogue-avged 26.8 when I turned it in.
Honestly, I am very consensus of how I drive. I have the mpg meter showing and I watch it. I get up to speed asap, drive light footed-drive speed or just above, coast to lights as much as I can, etc. It works... I'm hoping I do better when it warms up. Believe me, don't believe me, but that we what I'm getting.

Yep very contagious my doctor recommended I use flip flops for a week and that worked LOL......
2.0 AWD
I am averaging 16 mpg.
I think it suck's.
I told the service manager & he said they could'nt find anything wrong.
He said the Computer said the mileage was higher.
I dont care what the computer says, what really counts is when i do 160 miles & it takes 10 gallon's to fill it up tell's me that i am getting 16 mph.
I do my own mileage calculations after every fill up...always have on every car that I have owned. I keep a log book. I don't even look at what the car computer is telling me.
