I just bought a 2015 MKC. I haven’t ever had a Lincoln before and I’m not sure the best type of leather cleaner and conditioner would be best for these seats. I have the Reserve Package with heated/cooled seats, so the perforated leather. It is the tan leather.

Also, is the wood trim on the dash and door real wood or some plastic veneer? Any special product to use on that?

My main questions are regarding the leather and wood but any other tips you may have for detailing would be great!

Thanks!

Spray Lexol on a microfiber cloth not directly on the leather (especially of you have the cooled seats). On the MKC Reserve the wood is real and I just apply a little pledge. A little Armorall (natural finish) on the dash and trim goes a long way to refreshing the other surfaces.

Ultima's Interior Guard Plus is an excellent polymer sealant and one of the few that really outside a true "coating" that offers all the protection it does. I've used it on my Infiniti and love it. Buffs off easily and leave the leather fully sealed and smooth but doesn't change the stock appearance in any way. It also does not gas-off or leave any residual film on the interior over time.

Every few weeks outside just damp wipe downs I will clean and treat the leather with Griots Garage Leather 3-in-1 Spray Smells great and again, does the job without altering the appearance of the leather. Between those two, I think you'll find you won't need much more.

The exhaust pipes have been driving me crazy with how sooted up they are. I forget now who suggested in but i used Bar Keepers Friend and some elbow grease and got one looking nice. I'll get the other in a few days! Not a difficult project and well worth it. Before & after pics below.
