Hey y’all. Got a new dashcam and want to hardwire it instead of doing the cigarette lighter. Has anyone done one using the fuse box below the glove box? I’m looking for an acc +, a battery +, and a ground which I assume just going to a bolt.

I put one in a while ago. I wish I remembered how but I know it was installed behind the knee airbag. I didn't go the the cigarette lighter because it was always on and I wanted a trigger on.

Yah so I actually tapped the fuse box below the glove box using the micro2 add-a-fuse, all is well and happy with my setup!

You can always plug it into the rear of the mirror. I have my radar detector plugged in there Instead of the cigarette lighter. There is a product called MirrorTap and you can get it here . MirrorTap Power Cord

Yah I looked into these before but they simply do not have my dash cam brand. I also got the official hardwire from the brand which will allow me to enable parking monitor mode as needed. A bit more work but I think well worth it.
