Ok....so maybe I'm nuts but...

I suspect that somehow when my MKC was built they didn't load the correct version of code into SYNC3 or whatever it's called...

The heated steering wheel option is listed on the window sticker...and came as part of the cold climate package.

There is no physical switch for it, as far as I can tell. It's controllable either through the screen interface via an icon and can be set to come on/off via the vehicle settings under the remote settings.

There is no icon for it, nor does it show up in the vehicle remote start settings.

My only conclusion is that the somehow the version of code that was loaded does not have the option embedded or enabled.

Am I missing something....is there some button or switch somewhere that I've overlooked?

It's Sunday and all the car dealers in NJ are closed...otherwise, I would go there today.

Thanks
David

I just looked at the Sync 3 manual and the icon for the heated steering wheel is found on the Climate control screen at the top left of the screen just to the left of the AUTO icon. It looks like the main screen is divided into 3 quadrants (Navigation, Phone, Radio) whereas on my Sync (2015) it is divided into 4 quadrants (Navigation, Phone, Radio, Climate Control). The heated steering wheel icon is available on the main screen as well as the Climate Control screen. There is no specific switch located in the Climate control pad of switches located below the screen.
