Hey all,

I'm a new MKC Owner (2017 MKC) and I'm having a **** of a time finding a tint brand that matches our OEM Rear tint. I have had the car re-tinted 3 times now :(

The first two tints had a metallic reflection and the last tint I got looks hazey from the inside (3MCS)

So here I am... 4th times a charm. I'm looking for a tint that is BLACK but not as dark as the rears (hopefully that makes sense)

Can someone please recommend a brand of tint that matches?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about brands, but I've had several different shops tint my front door windows over the years. I've always went with a 35% tint and it looked pretty good. If you go with the 20%, I think it would be darker. I don't think you have a lot of options for different degrees of darkness. Be sure to check your state laws regarding tint. New York just passed a new law this year. No tint is allowed on the front door windows at all. Your vehicle will not pass state inspection with any tint on the front doors. I'm jealous of you because I think the vehicle looks much better with all the windows the same.

Mine Match Perfect.
When i got mine the only one that matched Factory was more expensive,Sure they had me,but did a great job.
It was Rayno S9 Carbon Nano Ceramic Window Film 15%
When i called they Quoted $80.00 for the 2 front windows & Opera Windows included.
When i neft it was $ 120.00 plus tax, that was a year ago & they still look great.

Just in case anyone finds this old thread....

Global QDP matches OEM pretty close. My Lincoln is long gone at this point but I accidentally found this thread searching tint again...

Rayno S9 (which is on my current car has a blue hue to it) Global QDP is on my other SUV and it's pretty black through and through
