In the General Discussion I detailed my experience with a 2019 MKC today. I was close to buying it before I noticed that the heated seats didn't seem to be doing anything at all, even after a half hour. It turns out that this is characteristic of the Climate Package seats, which use a ventilation fan instead of an electric heating pad. I'd like ventilated seats in the summer, but I NEED heated seats, outside of summer, anyhow.

Is there any reason that regular heated seats could be swapped in for these "upgraded" ones? I know you can't swap between brands and expect the air bags to work properly. Any advice?

I remembered a little bit more about the swap. On top of the wiring, harness and seats, you will also need a new FCIM and you'll have to reprogram the APIM.
