I've never had Ford/Lincoln Navigation system on my last two vehicles. I really like my Garmin and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if the built in Nav will be as good as Garmin. Mine has the split screen and lane location etc. with lifetime maps. What can I expect in my MKC?

Sounds to me like I'll still be using my garmin for serious travel and Nav when I know where I'm at and just need to find a restaurant!
There sure is area for improvement on this system. I can plunk out 250 bucks for a Garmin and always have up to date maps. Pay 48K for a Lincon and keep on paying for up to date maps:confused:

These built in Nav systems have been around for quite a while now, makes you wonder why they don't get up to speed with garmin. For what they charge you, it should be at least as good or better.
Although I will say, I prefer not having to take my eyes off the road to glance sideways and down to see the navigation. I put my garmin up on the dash where I can easily see it too.
