If You Ordered, What Model & Color Ext/Int?

2.0 FWD Reserve, Smoked Quartz with Ebony interior and Aluminum Sonata Spin trim (wasn't a fan of the wood look, I want sleek).

2.3 AWD with select, vista roof, navi, thx, and aluminum in Smoked Quartz

2.0 FWD Reserve; Midnight Sapphire with White Sands/Espresso interior

Dealer today says mid to late June (?) for my 2.3 AWD ordered 3/31. Nothing scheduled on this one yet. He has an inventory 2.0 FWD built "awaiting shipping." They're being very cautious with this intro...actually good news, but gets us all anxious!

I think its only the 2.3 they're being careful with however. The 2.0 has had PLENTY of lead time and miles of smiles already layed down in the Escape et all. The 2.3 is being LAUNCHED in the MKC, figure if MKC 2.3 launch goes pear shape its going to ABSOLUTELY DECIMATE the EB mustangs chance of success globally, Europe in particular.

I found numerous dealer ordered inventory 2.3 AWDs built last week, by searching the online inventory in various large cities, e.g., Chicago. My dealer said they want to get the dealer ordered inventory right, before producing pre-order purchased units. Makes sense...guess pre-order purchased units don't show up on the inventory, so for us that have ordered one we have to rely on the dealer's system to find out build date.

My dealer stated that my order was sent in as a dealer order to be part of their inventory rather than a customer-specific order. I wonder if that will change things for me re: delivery date?

Would think yours would be built within next 2-3 weeks, as a dealer inventory unit as you said. FYI...in the inventory system, I looked at many units to see what the options were...didn't find any of them built with the THX sound system, which we both ordered. BUT...I don't know if any were ordered with that, or there is a constraint on that option, as why not in there. Saw in the system many $48-$49k units, but no THX. Just an observation...

Can't wait for people to start getting their MKCs in and posting some pictures up. Are many people going to make any changes to their MKC? Accessories, or other parts, etc???

That's interesting and a bit concerning. I saw a video of the THX system starting up and it had that great THX sound. Love it!

2.3 Reserve with all the options in Midnight Sapphire. I wish the DVD headrests were an option.

No order in yet, I can't do it until I see Tahitian Pearl in the metal. Might be the only oddball here but 2.3 AWD absolutely!

Placed my order yesterday -- 2.3 AWD, Ruby Red w/Hazelnut, Reserve, Technology, THX. Estimated delivery date: 6-8 weeks.

Did anybody end up going with the gold exterior color for their MKC? I'm not the biggest fan of it. Just kinda wondering if there are actually people who are choosing that color over all the others.

In the dealer inventory system I remember seeing only one Karat Gold...out of about 650 units I looked through.

After further consideration, changed exterior color to White Platinum Metallic Tri-coat to better coordinate with the White Sands/Expresso interior. Didn't think the expresso tone worked that well with the silver exterior. More $$$, but my wife wanted only that interior of the 4 choices.

"We" have changed our mind again...now going with the Hazelnut interior with the White Platinum Metallic Tri-coat exterior. Recent photos of these two interior choices helped "us" change our mind.
