My wife and I just completed a 1750 mile trip from Chicago to Gettysburg PA, Washington DC and Chestertown Maryland and back in our 2016 MKC... Overall the MKC performed flawlessly and was so comfortable we drove straight through on the return leg of our trip which was about 13 hours. A/C works great. Seats are comfortable and the cooling feature worked well. The ability to select the type of ride was nice for those rough stretches of highway. Sync 3 and the NAV worked well and rerouted as needed (which was often) in Washington (where traffic (and politicians) are a tangled mess). Trip average was about 27 MPG at roughly 75 MPH. The 2.3 has plenty of power and I used premium for the whole trip. Overall after 9 months of ownership, not the slightest issue with the MKC... Our dealer has been great (Lincoln only). Next trip this fall is to Yellowstone and the Tetons where I thought of taking our Jeep, but after this last trip I think the MKC will be our ride!

Welcome back blankster, glad to hear your trip went well and the MKC performed as designed! It's actually nice to read a good positive first hand experience from an owner that just covered a 1750 mile trip...I remember you mentioning wanting to use premium fuel for this trip and I'm sure you enjoyed the response the engine gave you on the good stuff LOL!
