Just Got rear Ended on I 95

Got hit By 2003 Honda Accord.

His front end is Totaled & Both his airbags went off.

State Police issued him a ticket for Following too close.

Me & Wife went to hospital & received Cat Scans.

Both ok Thank God.

Seems the MKC is a pretty safe car.

Maybe Suv's are safer than Car's.

Now waiting for Adjuster to call.

This a holiday weekend & don't want MKC to sit in Body Shop for 4 day's with nothing being done.

Would like to know from other's who had there MKC wrecked, did they get any money for Deminished value to there MKC ?

I can't answer your question, but I'm so sorry you got rear ended.

We have the platinum white too. I'm sure they'll put her back together again looking as good as new.

Hey desgnr,
I too, was rear-ended! I'll spare you the details - check this out:

Same color, etc.! As my posts describe, I took my MKC to a Ford dealership versus a private body shop because I didn't want to deal with getting parts for a first-year production vehicle. $14,995 and 3 weeks later, I was back in business and have been very pleased. Ford did a fabulous job!

I talked to the Insurance company of the person who hit me.
They said when i trade my car if i could prove i get less money because of the accident i can come back to them & request my loss.

“The majority of these courts have ruled that comprehensive and collision coverage limit liability to payments for proper repairs and do not provide for payments for losses in value, he says. State supreme courts that have set this precedent include those in Delaware, Indiana, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, South Carolina, South Dakota and Texas. A few appellate courts have made similar rulings, including those in Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.”
